The Decision

Like many other UNC, FSU, Kansas, and Kentucky fans, I waited anxiously for Andrew Wiggins’ decision today. And of course, he chose to go to Kansas, oh well, at least he wasn’t considering Duke (I’m a UNC fan)

But in light of his decision, I have decided that I need to make a decision of my own. And I have. I have finally decided that I WILL do a competition either late 2013, or early 2014 (I am writing this down to make sure I stick to it). I know I am not ready right now, and I have a ways to go to get ready, but I know if I don’t do it before my next birthday (April), then I may never compete. Knowing the fact that my wife and I want to have kids in the near future, I need to do this ASAP.

I will be looking for a coach here in the next couple of months. There are a couple in the same city that I live in, and another that is about 3 hours away from me that I’ve known for a few years. All 3 have experience competing, and I’m definitely going to need all the help I can get.

I haven’t decided whether I’ll do NPC or any other affiliation, and I haven’t decided if I will do bodybuilding or men’s physique. I guess Those questions will answer themselves within the next few months (when I decide on a time frame and assess my current physique).

But this is something that I have wanted to do for a while, and I’ve always put it off. But I’m 26 years old, and life is moving fast. Time to get it!
