Time to get it!
Nothing kills my ego more than training with an injury/recovering from an injury.
Ever since my tendonitis in my knee flared up, I haven’t been able to run or train legs (roughly 3-4 weeks). I’ve been able to walk and bike, so I’m able to do a little cardio, but I definitely haven’t been able to squat or anything.
Well, this morning I figured I would try to train legs. Damn I feel like a little bitch haha.
Only squatted 135 (4 sets of 6, real deep to get that stretch in my knee). Definitely could have gone heavier, but I didn’t want to push it too much on the first day.
Then I went to do one-legged leg press (didn’t want to do much two legged so my right leg couldn’t overcompensate), and wow, only could do 3 sets of 10 reps with 90lbs with my left leg… And if my ego wasn’t hurt enough by that, I then went to do one legged leg extensions, and could only do 25lbs with my left leg! (3 sets of 8). Not cool.
Oh well, guess you gotta start at the bottom and work your way up. I’ll see if I can push my left leg a little more next week
I’m going to run 2 miles tomorrow morning, then have leg day during my lunch break. I guess tomorrow will truly be a “leg day”.
What do you guys think, am I stupid?
and I am up and awake at 7:20am. This is somewhat sleeping in for me since I’m usually up at 5:15am every morning.
Oh well…. I plan to hit the gym today to give myself a bday present….. some sore LEGS
